About

Hi there, my name is Nate, and I am in love with life!  I love to take photos, to capture time, moments…LOVE!  I got started into photography while living in South Africa when I was given a very old film SLR by a friend.  The camera had no automatic focus or settings, so I was forced to learn what happened when I played with shutter speeds and f/stops and film speed.  I still remember developing my first role of film and being so disappointed to find all my shots out of focus and over or under exposed.  A fascination turned into a passion, a passion that often draws close to the line of obsession, and I became in love with taking photographs, stopping time, and capturing bits and pieces of the people I meet and the places I go.

I consider myself very blessed to be able to do what I love, and hopefully to be able to bless others with the passion that I have for photography.  I owe so much to my sweet wife, Luisa.  She’s so patient with me and my passion/obsession.  She shares my love for life, and for love, and we have an incredible adventure together every day.  My Mom has also been an incredible inspiration to me as I grew up always watching her take pictures.  She is a phenomenal photographer and continues to teach me new things about photography to this day.

Jennifer king - Hi Nate!

I am in the very early stages of looking for a photographer for my wedding next summer, probably July or Sept. Could you please give me a range of your rates? I am interested in paying for 8 hours of photography (pre-wedding photos through end of reception); 2 photographers; disk/copies of all photos w/ rights to print.

Thanks for your time, Nate!
