Self Portrait | 2/52

Week two of my self portrait quest, and I’m already feeling “challenged”.  I guess that’s the point. First thing I’ve learned, it’s hard.  If you don’t believe me, try it.  Getting some random idea at midnight; tearing apart your living room to make room for a studio; setting up lighting gear, seamless background, tripods etc;…

Nate - Jessica, it’s funny. I use them most of all for personal work. I haven’t used them a ton on an actual shoot yet. I do love them though!

My New Self Portrait Challenge | 1/52

Let’s see.  How to put this… Oh yeah… I’m AWFUL at having my picture taken.  I’m ok if I’m with someone else, like my wife, or Jace, or a large group.  In fact, I love having our family pictures taken.  We do it all the time.  But when I’m on my own, I don’t know…

Kim + Mike | The Bishops House Wedding

Kim and Mike were married at the beautiful Bishop’s House in downtown Boise.  The weather and atmosphere of close family and friends was wonderful.  I love small intimate weddings.  Kim and Mike share such a great respect, adoration and love to each other, it made them easy to photograph. Thank you Kim and Mike for…

Life Thru the Macro: Art in the Park…

We happened across it quite by chance. We decided to drive into downtown Boise and have a picnic. We LOVE picnics, and probably have at least one a week in the summer. There were hundreds of booths and thousands of people. Everyone was selling their wares and their crafts, beautiful pieces of artwork, and some…
