It is THIS image that has haunted me from 1:00am to 8:00am every night for the past week or so. Nate and I have been dealing with our poor baby Jace developing a slight case of colic. Poor guy; poor us. We had both been previously warned prior to having Jace that we would reach…

Anne - I have a client that swears by Colic Calm. It is a homeopathic gripe water, their pediatrician approved it as well. Best wishes to you, congrats on your little guy!
Chelsea - Oh dear! The poor little guy (and his mom & dad!!) Colic is NOT fun! Dylan was colicky but not for that long of stretches. The thing that soothed him most was movement. But that didn’t always help… there are little tablets at the store in the baby section (or over by the pharmacy) that are called something like Colic Tablets, they are also homeopathic, but are tiny little tablets that dissolved in the baby’s mouth. I didn’t know about them with Dylan but have heard some people swear by them. Good luck! Hope you all get some more sleep soon!
Mallory - Even though he’s the cutest, I reallyyy hope you get sleep soon! Colic is no fun
Misty - Luisa~
I feel your pain! I am no expert, but Kirby was a bit of a fussy baby. I thought it was colic, but it was actually reflux. I got some perscribed drops from the doc he ate before feeding and it almost instantly stopped.
If you are nursing, there is a loooong list of foods not to eat that will help with a colicky baby, I am sure you could find it online. I also know some cut out dairy completely and that helps a fussy baby.
He may also be allergic to your milk, and you could try soy formula and see if that helps.
I nursed three kids exclusively for a year each~ and Kirby threw me for a loop~ he was a bottle baby after six weeks, and did much better on formula. You might just want to try formula and see if it helps~
Good Luck~ you have crossed the thresh hold of saying “i’ll sleep when I’m dead” it’s called parenthood! =)
C - If you have a wellness chiropractor anywhere that you can get to, I’d recommend getting your son there as soon as you can. I have a 7 month old, and he was seriously intense. He started going to the chiropractor 3 times a week for a few weeks, then 2, and it helped him a ton. It wasn’t next day but within 4-5 days I noticed a HUGE difference. The chiropractor told me that sometimes during birth babies get pinched nerves pretty much, and those nerves not only cause irritation in their neck/back but also can cause reflux and other things of that nature that can cause symptoms of colic. Hope this helps, feel free to e-mail me if you have anymore questions.
Karen Stott - So my son went through something similar and Gripe Water is AMAZING!!! I seriously could hear it breaking down the gas in his tummy. NO JOKE. You can get it at toys r us and babies r us and some boutiquey type grocery stores. It’s seriously a miracle worker and it’s all natural so you don’t have to worry when you’re giving it to him all the time. Good luck!
